Fireside Restaurant in Welland

Ok, so I got take-out today, hadn't tried them yet since it was re-opened. When I was paying, the woman actually looked at the order, checked the bag, noticed they missed my gravy, and got it for me before I left. This is unheard of!! How many of us have gotten home, only to find out the gravy (or something else) was missing, but you're not going to go all the way back? Knowing no one bothered to double check the order. This small thing she did is what service is about. Thank you! 😁And to top it off, my food was hot, the pulled pork burger was DELICIOUS and juicy, and the gravy was a awesome, and I'm so glad it wasn't missed. Definitely try this place folks 👍

Fireside reboot does not do justice to previous owners. Slouvaki dinner was dry, tasteless (no Greek seasoning) and the tzaziki sauce was terrible. Service was ok considering how busy they were.

It was good home cooking. $ 24 for 10 oz prime rib on Saturday. Mash potatoes & fresh veg. Good deal. Not enough horse radish, little sample packs. Asked for more not enough. She forgot after 2nd time of me asking. $ 1 extra for gravy. Should be included. Otherwise good meal.

The food here has always been great. The new owners are doing a great job. I just wish the tzatziki had more garlic in it.

Went here for my boyfriends mom's birthday dinner a few nights ago! The pulled pork was really good! & The fries were crispy and not greasy at all, our waitress Sammy was awesome!!😉😁

The atmosphere was pleasant and the staff was very delightful! Nice to have it back! Will definitely be going back :)

So here's the thing. Had the chicken souvlaki take out dinner, it tasted amazing, but the portion size was ridiculously small. Barely any rice, and not much chicken. Really disappointed in how much food you get in the take out container. The rice tastes great but there's just simply not enough. And also, where are the potatoes ? If the portion size does not change I will not be ordering there again. Four dinners was over $70 with tax...just not worth it.

We had lunch here yesterday... the chef went out of their way to prepare a pan seared fish... that's not on the menu... but that my picky 5 year old would eat... because he doesn't like batter... Our meals were all excellent... thank you...Oh and still Excellent Souvlaki...

Still available for takeout during all this mess. Got the gyro wrap which was delishous. Very accommodating and friendly people. Will return

Reopened under new owners and recently renovated. Great to see one of Welland's iconic restaurants back in business and almost as good as it was. Same great food, prices and portions with a brighter atmosphere. If you haven't been before and want some great Greek food, or haven't been since they shut down and re opened I highly recommend you stop in.

Showed up without a reservation (didn't know we'd need one) and they accommodated us and moved us to a larger table. Our server was amazingly personable and kind. The food was REAL FOOD, tasty and well prepared. They even surprised us with a candle in my mother's pie (it was her birthday). I wish this was how all restaurants treated customers and made food. Will definitely return!

The food was good but we waited for more than 10 mins for someone to notice we were there!They had the "seat yourself sign" up as you came in the door. Then someone said they would be right with us..... we waited another 10 mins before a new waitress asked if we had been helped yet. Busy or not, they should have at least acknowledged that we were there, brought over menus & let us know they were running behind.

Had the chopped steak with mashed for lunch. Very good

Excellent Greek food. Very well priced and you get a decent portion. Woukd love to go back again and try some other things on the menu.

A great, family owned restaurant located in the heart of Welland. Recently reopened under new management, they renovated the whole place top to bottom, front to back and brought back some of the previous staff as well! Many of the amazing original menu options are still available, as well as a new revamped menu with some new amazing items to please your tastebuds! If you're looking for a great place to take your family for dinner, with healthy options that you can feel good about all without breaking your budget... then I HIGHLY reccomend you go visit the new and improved Fireside restaurant!

Just got chicken souvlaki on a pita. Not as good as it used to be. The tzatziki sauce for the Greek salad had no flavour and tasted just like sour cream, nowhere near the flavour it used to be. And the fries werent as good as the original fireside fries. The actual pita was really good though.

Very good food. Friendly staff! Always serving with a smile. The owners and the cook take the time to talk to patrons which you don't see much in other restaurants.

Ordered the chicken sulvaki pita with a Greek salad and was delicious

Fast service wicked food!

Food is overall improved and better portion sizes.

The food was great. But once my order was dropped off I never saw the server again until I had to pay. No coffee refill and no chance to place an order to go so I had lunch for tonights shift.

So happy to see this popular restaurant open again! New owner did a great job updating inside. It's more inviting than ever. Service is awesome, prices are fair, food is excellent - still the best fish & chips in welland. Will absolutely come in again soon.

Good food, reasonable prices, great staff. We eat here four or five times a year.

With much buzz around fireside we had to see for ourselves.We had dinner tonight . My husband had fish n chips , he wasn’t overly thrilled the fries were very heavy tasting and greasy. Fish was ok . I had the chicken slouvaki wrap . The chicken was very dry. And i really didn’t taste the taziki sauce that much. We enjoy the Olympia much better.

So glad to see it open again. Chicken Souvlaki is best around and their tzatziki is unique to the Fireside as it always was.. Service was fantastic and the place was buzzing and had a great vibe.

Nice restaurant good food and service

The chicken had no flavour. Tasted boiled. Tatziki sauce tastes like it was store bought. Definitely not at the same standard of food as before. Last visit for sure. Not worth the overly high pricing. Had better Greek food in the food court at the mall.

Clam chowder was good. Would be nice if it came with a little garlic toast wedge or something instead of a pack of saltines.

It is very unfortunate that such a great family with such a nice restaurant has a son Joseph Pawlik, who is a known fentanoyl dealer, the owner of Canna Niagara, and back in business on both fronts, all which awaiting sentencing from the courts. he has tarnished our city, ruined our community and repedetly sells fentanoyl to minors. when will they put him behind bars for good> This great city has had enough

The food was delicious, but the wait was far too long. It took well over an hour to get served. The staff were great and friendly. The new decor was lovely.
